21 Weeks and Visit from the Rothman Family

The weeks are moving along. Below is the baby bump after dinner at the start of Week 21. This week also marked a visit to Texas from my mom, dad, and sister.

It was a crazy weekend for weather and airlines. Beth came in on an early flight, but my parents were delayed over three hours because a plane had to be flown to Sacramento from Los Angeles to bring them to Dallas. Since Beth came in early, she spent the afternoon at my office. It was fun showing her all that we do and introducing her to everyone. Beth also got to experience driving in a Texas thunderstorm with me on our way home from work. How could we have known that this was going to be the standard for the weekend? Rain and airplane delays!

We enjoyed spending the weekend together scouring the baby stores for furniture and learning about all the other baby items that we might need. Who knew there were so many things to consider. After much deliberation and Mom, Beth, and me spending two hours laying out the room, the nursery furniture has been purchased. We only stopped to eat at all the places that my family doesn't get in their respective cities. We hit Twisted Root, Jason's Deli, and Mellow Mushroom to name a few.

Saturday night we saw a wonderful production of Funny Girl at the Lyric Stage in Irving. It was a phenomenal show. The theater was much nicer than we had expected and the full orchestra added the final touches. The woman who played Fanny Brice was amazing and I am sure we will see more of her.

On Sunday, after dropping Beth off at the airport, we headed over to Fort Worth to spend the day visiting with Ari's family. Beth was delayed at the airport due to a flat tire. Then, Mom and Dad were delayed on Monday leaving because one of the engines on the plan wouldn't start. Oy! Other than the rain and the airlines, it was a wonderful weekend and we accomplished a lot to welcome future Baby Bond.
